What is a Digital Ocean droplet?
DigitalOcean Droplets are flexible Linux-based virtual machines (VMs) that run on top of virtualized hardware.
The standard name for this kind of products is VPS (Virtual Private Server) now you see that “Droplet” is just a fancy name created and used by Digital Ocean to refer to a VPS, each new droplet you create is just a new VPS you can use.
